CAVA Bowls Menu
The CAVA bowl is the whole point of CAVA.
Everything about the restaurant, the assembly line format, the scratch-made dips, the eight proteins, the free toppings, exists to put the best possible Mediterranean bowl in front of you in under three minutes. If you understand the bowl menu at CAVA, you understand CAVA.
This page covers everything. The full list of signature CAVA bowls with honest descriptions of what actually makes each one worth ordering. The complete build-your-own guide with every base, protein, dip, topping, and dressing, calories included. And CAVA’s biggest menu launch in January 2026, which brought back a fan-favourite ingredient that people had been asking for since 2021, and introduced two brand new bowls that most sites have not covered properly yet.
Whether you are deciding what to order for the first time or looking for something new after ten visits, this is the only guide you need.

CAVA’s Biggest Menu Update Ever, January 2026
Before we get into the full bowl list, this matters: CAVA launched its biggest menu update ever to start 2026, now available nationwide.
The headline of that launch was the return of white sweet potatoes, a fan favourite that disappeared after its original winter 2021 run and never came back, despite constant requests. Fans have been bugging the chain to bring them back ever since.
The white sweet potato is now the star of two new high-protein bowls: the Spicy Lamb + Sweet Potato Bowl and the Harissa Chicken Power Bowl. The launch also added Power Greens as a new base, Sumac Slaw as a new topping, Sumac Sour Cream + Onion Pita Chips as a limited-time item, and a Tangerine Aleppo seasonal drink.
Unlike a traditional sweet potato with a sweet interior, white sweet potatoes taste more starchy and nutty and give any dish a hearty finish. They can also be added to any build-your-own bowl, not just the new signature options.
This is the most significant ingredient addition CAVA has made in years. Both new bowls are covered in full below.
CAVA Signature Bowls (All 14 Options)
Price Range: ~$12–$16 (varies by location)
Signature bowls are CAVA’s chef-curated combinations, every component already chosen for the best possible flavor balance. You can customise them slightly at the counter, but they are designed to be ordered as-is.
Chicken + Rice Bowl
710 cal

What’s in it: Grilled chicken · saffron basmati rice · hummus · tzatziki · tomato and cucumber salad · crumbled feta
If you have never been to CAVA before, start here. Not because it is the most exciting bowl on the menu, it is not, but because it shows you exactly what CAVA does well. The grilled chicken delivers 33g of protein per serving with only 2g of carbs. The saffron basmati rice is fragrant and golden. The hummus and tzatziki together create a creamy, lemony base that makes every bite feel cohesive. The crumbled feta adds just enough salt to keep things interesting without overwhelming anything else.
It is clean, filling, and balanced. It is also the most ordered bowl at CAVA locations nationwide, which tells you something.
Best for: First-timers · High-protein eating · Anyone who wants a safe, satisfying choice
Falafel Crunch Bowl
860 cal

What’s in it: Crispy falafel · greens and grains base · hummus · roasted eggplant dip · tomato and cucumber salad · pickled onions · pita crisps · lemon herb tahini dressing
CAVA’s best vegetarian bowl, and it is not particularly close. What separates this from every other plant-based fast-casual option is the roasted eggplant dip, smoky, deep, and complex in a way that most competitors never bother attempting. The falafel is made from ground chickpeas, herbs, and spices, fried to a crisp outside while staying soft inside. The pita crisps add crunch. The pickled onions cut through the richness. The lemon herb tahini ties everything together with a nutty, citrusy brightness that keeps pulling you back in.
At 860 calories, it is one of the more substantial bowls on the menu; the chickpeas and pita crisps add up, but the fibre content from the falafel and lentil base means it keeps you full for a long time.
Best for: Vegetarians · Anyone who wants plant-based protein with serious flavor · Falafel lovers
Harissa Avocado Bowl
810–885 cal

What’s in it: Harissa honey chicken · greens and grains · Crazy Feta® · hummus · avocado · fire-roasted corn · pickled onions · hot harissa vinaigrette
This is the bowl most CAVA regulars end up coming back to. It covers every flavor note at once, sweet heat from the harissa honey chicken, creaminess from the Crazy Feta and avocado, brightness from the pickled onions, sweetness from the fire-roasted corn, and a spicy tangy finish from the hot harissa vinaigrette. Nothing feels random. Every component earns its place.
Crazy Feta, CAVA’s signature whipped jalapeño feta, is at its best in this bowl. The richness of the avocado softens its heat, and the pickled onions cut through both. If you want one bowl that shows you everything CAVA is capable of, this is it.
Best for: Regular customers · Anyone who wants maximum flavor complexity · Fans of heat and creaminess together
Steak + Harissa Bowl
615 cal

What’s in it: Grilled steak · greens and grains · harissa · tzatziki · tomato and cucumber salad · kalamata olives · hot harissa vinaigrette
CAVA’s steak is Mediterranean-seasoned and sliced thin, tender, slightly charred, and substantial. This bowl works because of layered heat: harissa as a dip and hot harissa vinaigrette as the dressing means the spice builds rather than arriving all at once. The tzatziki cools it down between bites. The kalamata olives add briny depth that most bowls do not have.
At 615 calories it is also one of the more calorie-efficient options for a steak bowl anywhere in fast-casual dining.
Best for: Steak lovers · Anyone who wants bold heat without losing balance · Lower-calorie high-protein eating
Spicy Lamb + Avocado Bowl
795 cal

What’s in it: Spicy lamb meatballs · greens and grains · Crazy Feta® · hummus · avocado · tomato and cucumber salad · lemon herb tahini
The spicy lamb meatballs are four per serving, seasoned with cumin, coriander, and chili. Juicy, deeply savory, and the most characterful protein on the menu. Pairing them with Crazy Feta and avocado is one of the smartest flavor decisions CAVA has made, the spice and richness of the lamb meet the creamy coolness of the avocado and the tangy punch of the Crazy Feta, and the lemon herb tahini pulls it all into focus.
This is a bowl that rewards people who want something more complex than grilled chicken. If you have only ever ordered the Chicken + Rice Bowl, this is the one to try next.
Best for: Lamb lovers · Anyone ready to try something bolder · Regular customers wanting a change
Greek Salad Bowl
585 cal

What’s in it: Grilled chicken · romaine · hummus · tzatziki · tomato and onion salad · kalamata olives · crumbled feta · Greek vinaigrette
The lightest curated bowl with meat on the menu. No rice, no grains, just crisp romaine, grilled chicken, and a set of toppings that are pure Mediterranean in character. The kalamata olives and Greek vinaigrette do a lot of flavor work here, briny, acidic, and herbaceous in a way that makes a salad bowl feel like an actual meal rather than a compromise.
At 585 calories with 33g of protein from the grilled chicken, this is the cleanest macro profile of any curated bowl with an animal protein.
Best for: Lower-carb eating · Anyone who wants a light lunch without sacrificing protein · Salad bowl fans
Tahini Caesar Bowl
550–660 cal

What’s in it: Grilled chicken · romaine · hummus · crumbled feta · pita crisps · tahini Caesar dressing
CAVA’s Mediterranean riff on the Caesar. The tahini Caesar dressing replaces the traditional anchovy-based version with a sesame-forward nuttiness and a tang that works surprisingly well against the romaine and feta. The pita crisps stand in for croutons. The hummus adds a smooth, creamy layer that a standard Caesar never has.
It is a quieter bowl than the others, more composed than bold. The kind of bowl you order when you want something familiar that still manages to feel like CAVA.
Best for: Caesar salad fans · Anyone who wants something lighter and more composed · Reliable lunch choice
Lemon Herb Chicken Bowl
650 cal

What’s in it: Grilled chicken · supergreens · tzatziki · tomato and onion salad · crumbled feta · lemon herb tahini dressing
Clean, bright, and fresh. This bowl is built around the lemon herb tahini dressing, one of CAVA’s best sauces and the most popular dressing in the system. Nutty from the tahini, acidic from the lemon, and aromatic from the herbs, it lifts every component it touches. The supergreens base adds a slight bitterness that balances the creaminess of the tzatziki perfectly.
If you are eating for nutrition without wanting to feel like you are eating for nutrition, this is probably your bowl.
Best for: Clean eating · Anyone who loves bright, herb-forward flavors · Nutrition-focused diners
SuperGreens + Grilled Chicken Bowl
480 cal
What’s in it: Grilled chicken · supergreens · hummus · tzatziki · tomato and cucumber salad · Greek vinaigrette
The lightest curated bowl in the entire lineup. 480 calories. 33g of protein. No grains, no rice. Just supergreens, kale, spinach, chicory, with grilled chicken, hummus, tzatziki, and Greek vinaigrette.
This is CAVA’s best high-protein, low-calorie bowl and one of the most nutritionally efficient fast-casual meals available anywhere. It does not look like much on paper, but the hummus and tzatziki add enough creaminess and the Greek vinaigrette adds enough brightness that it never feels sparse.
Best for: Calorie-conscious eating · High-protein diets · Anyone training or watching macros carefully
Garlicky Chicken Shawarma Bowl
600 cal
What’s in it: Harissa honey chicken · saffron basmati rice · hummus · garlic sauce · tomato and onion salad · pickled onions
The garlic sauce at CAVA is Lebanese toum-style, white, creamy, and intensely garlicky in a way that commercial garlic sauces never manage. Combined with the sweet heat of the harissa honey chicken, this bowl is one of the more intense flavor experiences on the menu. The saffron rice grounds it. The pickled onions cut through the richness of both the garlic sauce and the chicken glaze.
Not a subtle bowl. Exactly the kind of thing you order when you want your food to taste like it means it.
Best for: Garlic lovers · Anyone who wants bold, shawarma-style flavors · Fans of harissa honey chicken
Harissa Chicken Power Bowl
NEW 2026 — cal varies
What’s in it: Harissa honey chicken · roasted white sweet potato · Power Greens · hummus · feta · sumac slaw · tomato and onion · fiery broccoli · cucumber · avocado · skhug · yogurt dill dressing
One of CAVA’s new 2026 menu items, featuring harissa honey chicken, white sweet potato and power greens, feta, hummus, sumac slaw, tomato and onion, broccoli, cucumber, avocado, skhug and yogurt dill dressing.
This is CAVA’s most ambitious bowl to date. The white sweet potato adds a starchy, nutty heartiness that is completely different from the caramelized sweetness of a regular sweet potato. The Power Greens — a new 2026 base made from tender butter lettuce, baby kale, spinach, and heritage greens — are lighter and more varied than the standard SuperGreens option. Skhug brings herbaceous fire. Yogurt dill cools it down. Avocado and feta add creaminess and salt.
It is a lot of components, but every one has a purpose. This is the bowl to order if you want CAVA’s best 2026 has to offer.
Best for: Adventurous eaters · Anyone who wants the new menu · High-protein, high-flavor eating
Keto Greens + Steak Bowl
615 cal
What’s in it: Grilled steak · romaine · arugula · harissa · tzatziki · avocado · Greek vinaigrette
CAVA’s dedicated low-carb bowl. No grains, no rice, no lentils, just greens, grilled steak, harissa, tzatziki, avocado, and a clean Greek vinaigrette. It is designed specifically for low-carb and keto eating without asking you to give up flavor or satisfaction.
The arugula brings a peppery bite that pairs well with the steak. The harissa adds smoky heat. The avocado adds healthy fat and creaminess. The Greek vinaigrette keeps it bright. At 615 calories with minimal net carbs, this is the best keto-friendly bowl CAVA offers, and one of the best low-carb fast-casual options anywhere.
Best for: Keto dieters · Low-carb eating · Anyone avoiding rice and grains
Spicy Lamb + Sweet Potato Bowl
NEW 2026 — cal varies
What’s in it: Spicy lamb meatballs · roasted white sweet potato · Power Greens · brown rice · tzatziki · red pepper hummus · sumac slaw · pickled onions · feta · cucumber · tomatoes · tahini Caesar dressing
Spicy lamb meatballs, white sweet potatoes, power greens, brown rice, tzatziki, red pepper hummus, sumac slaw, pickled onions, feta, cucumber, tomatoes and tahini Caesar.
The second new 2026 bowl and the one that leans hardest into the white sweet potato return. The starchy, nutty sweet potato is an ideal match for the spiced lamb meatballs — they are both substantial, both earthy, and both built for each other. The tzatziki and red pepper hummus cool and sweeten the heat. The sumac slaw — another 2026 addition, cabbage tossed with sumac, parsley, and red wine vinegar — adds a bright, citrusy crunch that keeps the whole bowl from feeling heavy.
If you are a lamb fan, this is the most complete lamb bowl CAVA has ever put on the menu.
Best for: Lamb lovers · Anyone who wants the white sweet potato · Fans of bold, hearty Mediterranean bowls

Build-Your-Own Bowl — The Complete Guide
Starting price: ~$10.97
The build-your-own bowl is where CAVA’s full range comes into view. Every component listed below. Every calorie counted. Every honest note on what each one actually contributes.
Step: Choose Your Base
Your base is the foundation of the entire bowl. It sets the calorie range, the texture, and the overall character. You can mix two bases, the Greens + Grains combination is the most popular choice for a reason: it gives you the lightness of greens and the substance of grains without committing fully to either.
| Base | Calories | What It Gives You |
| SuperGreens | 50 cal | Kale, spinach, chicory, nutrient-dense, slightly bitter, holds dressing well |
| Power Greens (NEW 2026) | ~30 cal | Butter lettuce, baby kale, spinach, heritage greens, lighter and more varied than SuperGreens |
| Baby Spinach | ~25 cal | Mild and soft, pairs well with bold proteins |
| Arugula | 20 cal | Peppery bite, best with lemon-based dressings |
| Romaine | ~15 cal | Crisp and neutral, classic salad base |
| Saffron Basmati Rice | 240 cal | CAVA’s signature grain, fragrant, golden, slightly floral |
| Brown Basmati Rice | 240 cal | Nuttier, chewier, higher fibre than white rice |
| Black Lentils | 200 cal | Earthy, high in plant protein and fibre, the most overlooked base on the menu |
| RightRice® | 370 cal | Legume-based grain with 18g protein per serving, higher protein than standard rice |
| Greens + Grains Mix | 132 cal | Half greens, half grain, the most popular base combination across the system |
The base most people overlook: Black Lentils. They add 13–18g of plant protein per serving, have a deep earthy flavor that pairs exceptionally well with braised lamb or falafel, and keep you full significantly longer than a greens-only base. If you are eating plant-based and want substance, start here.
The newest base: Power Greens launched in January 2026 as part of CAVA’s biggest menu update. Lighter and more varied than SuperGreens, better for bowls where you want the toppings and protein to be the star rather than the base.
Step 2: Choose Your Protein
One protein is standard. A second protein can be added for an additional charge. Every protein listed below is prepared fresh in-store daily.
| Protein | Cal | Protein | Fat | Carbs |
| Grilled Chicken | 250 cal | 33g | 11g | 2g |
| Harissa Honey Chicken | 260 cal | 30g | 12g | 6g |
| Spicy Lamb Meatballs | 220 cal | 21g | 14g | 2g |
| Braised Lamb | 280 cal | 19g | 23g | 1g |
| Grilled Meatballs | 190 cal | 20g | 13g | 0g |
| Falafel | 270 cal | 9g | 12g | 31g |
| Roasted Vegetables | 70 cal | 2g | 4g | 10g |
| Roasted White Sweet Potato (BACK 2026) | 190 cal | 2g | 4g | 39g |
Grilled Chicken — The highest protein-to-calorie ratio on the entire menu: 33g of protein at 250 calories with only 2g of carbs. Clean-tasting, which means it works with everything, bold dips like Crazy Feta or garlic sauce bring the character it lacks on its own.
Harissa Honey Chicken — The same grilled chicken finished with a sweet-spicy harissa and honey glaze. Adds 6g of carbs from the honey but delivers significantly more flavor. The most ordered protein at CAVA system-wide and the one responsible for most people becoming regulars.
Spicy Lamb Meatballs — Four meatballs per serving, seasoned with cumin, coriander, and chili. Juicy, deeply savory, and the most characterful animal protein on the menu. Always pair with tzatziki, the coolness cuts through the spice in a way that makes both better.
Braised Lamb — Slow-braised, shredded, and rich. At 23g of fat per serving it is the most indulgent protein on the menu, but also the one with the most depth of flavor. Works best on a lighter greens base to balance the richness, it can overwhelm a heavy grain base.
Grilled Meatballs — Beef meatballs, milder than the spicy lamb version. Zero carbs, 20g protein. The most reliable, straightforward protein on the menu, it works with every dip and every dressing without fighting anything.
Falafel — Ground chickpeas, herbs, and spices. Crispy on the outside, soft inside. CAVA’s best plant-based protein and one of the best falafels you will find in fast-casual dining. Note the 31g carbs per serving from the chickpeas, but also 6g of fibre, which means the digestion is slower and the fullness lasts longer.
Roasted Vegetables — A seasonal Mediterranean mix at just 70 calories. Light and fresh, but works best doubled up or combined with a second protein like falafel or grilled chicken when you want plant-based substance without processed ingredients.
Roasted White Sweet Potato — Back on the menu for 2026 after a five-year absence. Unlike a traditional sweet potato, white sweet potatoes taste more starchy and nutty and give any dish a hearty finish. Zero fat, 39g carbs, naturally caramelized, a distinctive plant-based option that adds real substance to any bowl without relying on processed ingredients.
Step 3: Choose Your Dips & Spreads
Up to three dips are included free with every bowl or pita. This is CAVA’s biggest differentiator, no other fast-casual chain at any price point offers six scratch-made Mediterranean spreads free with every meal.
| Dip | Calories | Key Ingredients |
| Hummus | 50 cal | Chickpeas, tahini, lemon, garlic, olive oil |
| Crazy Feta® | 60 cal | Barrel-aged feta, charred jalapeño, olive oil, herbs |
| Tzatziki | 25 cal | Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, mint, garlic, lemon |
| Harissa | 60 cal | Tomato, roasted peppers, spices, olive oil |
| Roasted Red Pepper Hummus | 25 cal | Chickpeas, tahini, roasted red pepper, lemon |
| Eggplant & Red Pepper Dip | 15 cal | Roasted eggplant, red pepper, lemon, parsley, garlic |
Hummus — Made from scratch daily. Smooth, lemony, with a strong tahini backbone. At 50 calories it is the most versatile dip on the menu and appears as the base of almost every curated bowl for good reason. It is the Mediterranean equivalent of a foundation sauce, everything else sits on top of it.
Crazy Feta® — CAVA’s most talked-about item, full stop. Barrel-aged feta whipped with charred jalapeño, olive oil, and herbs. The charring of the jalapeño matters, it removes the raw green sharpness and replaces it with a smoky, rounded heat that works with everything from grilled chicken to falafel. Creamy, salty, spicy, and tangy all at once. Just 60 calories. The single biggest reason people become CAVA regulars.
Tzatziki — Traditional Greek yogurt dip with cucumber, dill, mint, and garlic. Cool, thick, and refreshing. Works as a flavor bridge between spicy proteins and fresh toppings, always order it alongside anything with lamb or harissa. At 25 calories it costs you almost nothing nutritionally and adds a great deal to almost any bowl.
Harissa — A North African chili paste built from roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and spices. CAVA’s version is smoky warm heat rather than sharp fire, bold and complex rather than one-dimensionally spicy. At 60 calories it adds character and depth to any protein.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus — A milder, slightly sweeter variation of the classic hummus. The roasted red pepper adds sweetness and color without changing the fundamental hummus structure. At 25 calories it is an easy secondary dip that works well alongside the standard hummus for people who want variety without drama.
Eggplant & Red Pepper Dip — The most underrated dip on the entire menu. Roasted eggplant gives it a smoky, meaty depth. Red pepper adds sweetness. Lemon and parsley keep it clean and fresh. At 15 calories it is the highest flavor-to-calorie ratio of any item in the entire dip selection, and the one that most first-timers do not order but most regulars always do.
Step 4: Choose Your Toppings
All toppings are free. There is no limit. These are what separate a good CAVA bowl from a genuinely great one.
| Topping | Calories | What It Adds to Your Bowl |
| Avocado | 160 cal | Creaminess, healthy fat, richness |
| Crumbled Feta | 50 cal | Salty, tangy punctuation throughout |
| Fire-Roasted Corn | 40 cal | Sweetness, slight char, texture contrast |
| Kalamata Olives | 45 cal | Briny Mediterranean depth |
| Pickled Onions | 10 cal | Sharp acidity, cuts through rich proteins |
| Pita Crisps | 120 cal | Crunch and warmth |
| Tomato + Cucumber Salad | 5 cal | Freshness and lightness |
| Tomato + Onion Salad | 15 cal | Brightness and subtle bite |
| Cabbage Slaw (Sumac) (NEW 2026) | 35 cal | Citrusy crunch, sumac, parsley, red wine vinegar |
| Diced Cucumber | 15 cal | Cool, clean freshness |
| Fresno Peppers | 5 cal | Mild fruity heat |
| Shredded Romaine | 5 cal | Extra crunch, neutral base |
| Salt-Brined Pickles | ~5 cal | Sharp fermented tang |
| Fiery Broccoli | ~40 cal | Spicy-roasted, substantial vegetable texture |
The new 2026 topping: Sumac Slaw, cabbage tossed with sumac, parsley and red wine vinegar. Bright, citrusy, and crunchy. Sumac is a dried berry with a lemony tartness used widely in Middle Eastern cooking. The slaw brings a sharpness to rich bowls that pickled onions do differently, it is crunch and acid rather than just acid. A genuinely useful addition to any lamb or harissa bowl.
The topping most people under-use: Pickled Onions. At 10 calories they are almost free from a nutrition standpoint, but they do more flavor work than almost anything else on the topping list. The sharp acidity cuts through fatty proteins like braised lamb or Crazy Feta the way nothing else on the menu does. Always add pickled onions.
Step 5: Choose Your Dressing
One dressing is included free. You can ask for extra on the side at no additional charge at most locations.
| Dressing | Calories | Flavor Profile |
| Lemon Herb Tahini | 70 cal | Nutty, bright, citrusy, CAVA’s most popular dressing |
| Garlic Sauce | 170 cal | Bold, creamy, intensely garlicky (Lebanese toum-style) |
| Greek Vinaigrette | 130 cal | Light, herby, acidic |
| Hot Harissa Vinaigrette | 70 cal | Spicy, tangy, tomato-forward |
| Skhug | 90 cal | Yemenite herb chili, green, herbaceous, fiery |
| Tahini Caesar | 90 cal | Nutty, umami-rich, sesame-forward |
| Yogurt Dill | 30 cal | Cool, mild, creamy, lightest dressing available |
| Balsamic Date Vinaigrette | ~80 cal | Sweet, acidic, complex |
Lemon Herb Tahini — The most ordered dressing at CAVA and the one that best represents the flavor profile of the whole restaurant. Nutty from sesame, bright from lemon, aromatic from herbs. Works with every protein and every base. If you have no idea what to choose, pick this.
Garlic Sauce — The boldest dressing on the menu. Lebanese toum-style, white, creamy, and made almost entirely from garlic. It is not subtle and is not meant to be. Pairs best with harissa honey chicken, shawarma-style bowls, or anything that can match its intensity. At 170 calories it is the highest-calorie dressing option.
Skhug — A Yemenite green chili sauce made with cilantro, parsley, jalapeño, garlic, and warm spices. CAVA’s most underrated dressing by a significant margin. Bright, herbaceous, and genuinely spicy, a completely different kind of heat from the harissa vinaigrette. If you like heat and fresh herbs, always get skhug on the side in addition to your main dressing.
Yogurt Dill — The lightest dressing on the menu at 30 calories. Cool, mild, and creamy. Best on bowls where you want to let the protein and toppings be the main event, the SuperGreens + Grilled Chicken Bowl in particular.
Balsamic Date Vinaigrette — Sweet, acidic, and complex. Underused and worth trying. Pairs particularly well with lamb proteins, the sweetness from the date balances the richness of the braised or spiced lamb in a way the more acidic dressings do not.
